On June 18, 2019, Kenny and his wife, Josilyne, received the devastating news that their 14-month old son, Kristian, had Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukemia (AMKL). As a way to keep his son happy and full of joy during his cancer treatments, Kenny began dancing. The family started to document these heartwarming moments and shared them online. One video caught the attention of R&B singer, Ciara. After she reposted it, the video went viral with over one million views. It was in that moment the Dancing Dad was born.

    On the evening of June 17, 2015, a 21 year-old, white male named Dylann Roof walked into Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church during their weekly bible study. As the Bible study concluded with prayer, Dylann pulled out a gun and opened up fire, killing 9 people and injuring 3. One of the survivors said during the shooting Dylan was heard saying, "I have to do it. You rape our women and you're taking over our country!" He committed these murders in the name of white supremacy. Amongst the deceased was Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, the mother of Chicago Cubs outfielder, Chris Singleton. Instead of reacting with rage and hate, Chris chose love. He credits a scripture he read in college for his decision to forgive rather than hate.

    Growing up in the tough streets of Miami Gardens, Randy and so many of his friends used football as a way to escape the streets. By the time Randy was a sophomore at Miami Carrol City High School, the scholarships started pouring in. He ended up with over 50 scholarships to play Division 1 football. On signing day he decided to stay close to home and play for the Florida Gators. During a routine pre-participation physical, an EKG showed an abnormality in Randy's heart. After further testing, Randy was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a condition that thickens the walls of his heart and restricts blood flow to the body's most vital organ. The risks include the heart valves closing, which could lead to an instant cardiac arrest. It signaled an immediate medical disqualification. Randy's dream of playing for the Gators before it began. I sat down with Randy to talk about how through all his pain and disappointment, his faith and purpose in life remains Undefeated.
